Eat, Pray, Love: Film Review

Check out this review of Eat, Pray, Love on the Non Skweeter blog. Apparently the movie was just as bad as the book and for many of the same reasons.

Also pointed out in this review are some of the class and race issues that were problematic in the book and movie. There is also the issue of timing. Amanda, the author of Non Skweeter, points out our current economical situation. I myself lost my home because of an A.R.M. With so many struggling and unemployed, can a movie about a privileged white women traveling to foreign countries in order to find herself really sell? The book has, so maybe. Stranger things have happened.

Didn’t hate it like most, mainly thanks to Julia Roberts, but I must say that this does suffer from some scenes that run on way too-long. But I can easily say that I wasn’t bored, just not totally satisfied. Good review, check out mine when you can!
